Create a Custom Field

In the People directory, click Custom Fields, top right — that's where every field on a profile is managed. Click Add Field. Pick the kind of field first — text, a number, a date, yes-or-no, or a dropdown. We want a pick-one-option field, so click Dropdown. Now name it, choose a category, and add your options. Give it a name people will recognize. Add each option. Choose which tab it lives on — Custom, Spiritual, Volunteer, Medical, or Other. Decide if it's required, shows on the profile, shows in the directory, or members can edit it themselves. Click Save Field. It's live — every profile now has this field, ready to fill in or filter by.
