Is TimelyChurch really free?

Yes! Our Free Forever plan includes unlimited members, people and family management, groups and classes, basic events, and basic attendance tracking - all completely free with no credit card required. It's perfect for small churches getting started with church management software.

How long does it take to set up TimelyChurch?

Most churches are up and running within 15-30 minutes. Create your account, add your members (or import from a spreadsheet), set up your groups, and you're ready to go. No complex configuration or technical expertise required.

Do I need to download an app?

No! TimelyChurch works entirely in your web browser on any device - desktop, tablet, or phone. Your staff and volunteers can access everything without downloading anything. The check-in kiosk also runs in a browser.

How does the check-in system work?

Our check-in system runs on any device with a browser - use a tablet, laptop, or dedicated kiosk. Families can check in by phone number, and you can print name labels with security codes for children. Parents receive matching pickup tags. The system tracks attendance automatically.

Can volunteers manage their own schedules?

Yes! Volunteers can set their availability, view upcoming assignments, request swaps, and receive reminders - all from their phone or computer. Coordinators approve requests and the system handles the rest.

Does TimelyChurch handle online giving?

Yes! Our Growth and Pro plans include online giving. Members can give one-time or recurring donations, and you can track giving, generate statements, and run reports. All integrated seamlessly with your member database.

Can members access their own information?

Yes! The Member Portal lets families view and update their own information, see their giving history, check volunteer schedules, and stay connected with church activities. This reduces admin work and keeps data accurate.

What's included in each pricing tier?

Free Forever ($0): Unlimited members, people & families, groups & classes, basic events, 1 check-in station. Growth ($49/mo): Everything in Free plus 3 check-in stations, label printing, email campaigns, volunteer scheduling, online giving, and more. Pro ($99/mo): Everything in Growth plus unlimited check-in stations, SMS messaging (coming soon), custom branding, custom domain (coming soon), API access (coming soon), and priority support.

Are there member limits on any plans?

No! All plans include unlimited members. We believe small churches shouldn't pay more just because they're growing. Our pricing is based on features, not member count.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan anytime?

Yes, you can change your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, and if you downgrade, the change applies at the start of your next billing cycle. No penalties or hidden fees.

Is there a contract or commitment?

No contracts! All our plans are month-to-month, and you can cancel anytime. We also offer annual billing at a discount. Your data belongs to you and can be exported at any time.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) through our secure payment processor. Annual plans can also be paid by invoice for qualifying organizations.

Data & Migration

Can I import my existing member data?

Yes! You can easily import members from a CSV file or spreadsheet. Our import tool maps your columns to TimelyChurch fields. We also offer migration assistance from other church management systems.

Can I export my data if I decide to leave?

Yes, your data belongs to you. You can export all your member information, giving records, attendance history, and more as CSV files at any time. We believe in data portability - you're never locked in.

Do you help with migration from other systems?

Yes! Our Pro plan includes a free onboarding call where we can help with migration. For Growth plan customers, we provide detailed migration guides and email support. We've helped churches migrate from other popular church management platforms.

What support do you offer?

All plans include community support and access to our help center. Growth plans include email support with fast response times. Pro plans include priority support and a dedicated onboarding call to get you started.

Is my church's data secure?

Absolutely. We use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) for all data transmission and store your information on secure, encrypted servers with daily backups. We never sell or share your data with third parties. Your members' privacy is our priority.

Do you have an uptime guarantee?

We maintain 99.9% uptime using reliable cloud infrastructure. We know Sunday morning is critical - our systems are built to be available when you need them most. We monitor 24/7 and address issues proactively.

Who can access what in TimelyChurch?

TimelyChurch has role-based permissions. Administrators have full access, while you can create limited roles for staff and volunteers. For example, a children's ministry coordinator can manage their ministry without seeing giving records. Members only see their own family's information.
