Control What Shows in the Directory and Website

A member doesn't want their photo or phone number visible to other members — or you want to feature someone on your public church website. Both live in the same privacy card on their profile.

In the People directory, we'll search for Linda and open her profile — it opens on Overview; click Edit Profile. Scroll down and open Directory Privacy — it's collapsed by default. By default, people show in the directory with their email, phone, and photo; city, birthday, and anniversary stay hidden until you turn them on. Turn any of them off — phone, in this case. Show on public website is different — off by default, and it publishes them on your actual church website, not just your internal directory. Click Save Changes. Her phone number's hidden from the directory now, even though it's still on her profile.
